Have you been able to connect to the Jabber site xo1share.org ?

I have an XO1 from G1G1. We actually had six which we took in summer of 2008 to Kibwezi, Kenya, replaced a year later by a hundred systems. We also use the six in state-side tutoring program after school where most children are of immigrants. I am not sure of your question.  xo1share.org is a jabber site only, i.e., for XO Activity sharing over the Internet.  If you try to use any browser to contact it directly, you will get the server's default logo (as well as a message that it lacks a valid Authentication Certificate -- there is one for the Jabber ).  Using the XO, you can share the Browse Activity with another XO (there...

The site seems to be used by people for testing --- they are not very chatty.

 

I try to keep one XO (xo1share_sysadmin) on line from 10 am to 10 pm EST.   This is unmanned and recently something has occasionally interferred with my wireless connection and the XO is offline until reset.  Jabber remains working !
